Col-Met develops paint spray booths and related products for broad applications. Col-Met’s products provide a clean, optimized and safe workplace. They control overspray efficiently, reduce prep time significantly, and as an added bonus, each arrives at your dock with all the hardware, filters and sealants required for installation.

Each of Col-Met’s automotive paint spray booths features full-booth illumination from four-tube, 48 -long, 32-watt fluorescent light fixtures, sealed behind clear tempered safety glass. All fixtures are UL listed and approved for their intended use and placement.

All of Col-Met’s automotive paint spray booth walls and plenum sections are constructed of heavy-duty, 18-gauge steel. Highly efficient tubeaxial fans range in diameter from 14 to 30 and are powered by three-phase motors, 0.5hp - 3hp. Brixon"! latches and limit switches are provided for each door opening, and all hardware, filters and sealants needed for installation come included.

EZ Paint Mixing Rooms

Each of Col-Met’s EZ Paint Mixing Rooms for paint booth use a ceiling air intake plenum to filter air downward through the work area and into an exhaust chamber at the lower opposite end of the room. An exhaust plenum re-filters and discharges the air into the atmosphere through a stack. Col-met EZ Paint Mixing Rooms are easy to install, operate, maintain and quick ship.

EZ Paint Mixing Rooms

Air flows in through the filtered air intake plenum (located in the ceiling toward one end of the booth) downward through the work area and into the exhaust chamber located in the lower opposite end of the room. Filtered exhaust air is drawn through the exhaust plenum and is discharged upward into the atmosphere through the exhaust stack.

Bright full booth illumination is provided by four-tube, 48", 32-watt, fluorescent light fixtures in the ceiling panels. Each is sealed behind clear tempered safety glass. All fixtures are UL listed and approved for their intended use and placement. The light tubes are not furnished with the fixtures.

All cabin and plenum sections are made with 18-gauge steel. The personnel access door is prehung in heavy gauge steel galvanized frames for easy installation. Brixon™ latches are provided for the door opening. One 14" x 48" observation window is standard in all paint mix room personnel doors. The exhaust system is driven by a 14" diameter tubeaxial fan with a 1/2 HP motor, producing 1930 SCFM at 1/2" static pressure. All hardware, filters and sealants needed for installation are included. The control panel and other electrical components may be purchased separately.

Classic Auto/Truck Paint Spray Booths

Col-Met’s Classic Auto/Truck Paint Spray Booths are available in crossdraft and downdraft models. Crossdraft paint booth intakes air through door filters and exhausts through filters at the opposite end. Downdraft paint booth intakes air from the cleaner upper levels of your shop through a ceiling filter bank and draws it down and away through floor-level exhaust filters on both sides. Both paint booths are available in solid-back and drive-through designs; crossdraft paint booth is also available with reverse flow. All Col-Met Classic Auto/Truck Paint Spray Booths can be equipped with air replacement units and cure cycles.

The Classic Auto/Truck Crossdraft Booth intakes fresh air through filters in the product entry doors. The clean filtered air is drawn through the booth and exhausted through a filter system at the opposite end. This type of spray booth makes efficient use of shop space and is available in solidback, drive-through and reverse-flow designs. Reverse-flow booths intake air through filters in the back wall. The solid-faced product entry doors are at the exhaust end of the booth. This provides cleaner intake filtering and better control of shop dust that might be tracked in at the vehicle entrance. The booth can be equipped with an air replacement unit and cure cycles to meet your requirements.

The light tubes are not furnished with the fixtures. The Side Downdraft intakes air from the cleaner upper levels of the shop through a filter bank in the booth ceiling. The filtered air is drawn down and away from the vehicle through exhaust filters at the floor level, along both sides. This provides efficient overspray control that reduces prep time and also provides a much healthier workplace environment without an expensive downdraft exhaust pit. When purchased as a pressurized unit, the
booth can be equipped with an air replacement unit and cure cycle to meet your requirements. It is available in both drive-through and solid-back designs.

All booth walls and plenum sections are made with 18-gauge galvanized steel. All product and personnel access doors are double skinned for ease of maintenance and installation. Brixon™ latches and limit switches are provided for each door opening. Classic Auto/Truck Booths are rigidly reinforced with external “I” beams. Optional NEMA 12 Control Panel is available. The filtered air is drawn down and away from the vehicle through exhaust filters in the pit located in the floor. Col-Met’s EZ-26 Modified Downdraft Automotive Paint Booths take fresh air from the cleaner upper levels of your shop using a ceiling filter bank and draw it down to an exhaust filter system at the opposite end. A pre-filter plenum allows for additional intake air filtration. Value Pack-25 Automotive Paint Booth

This Col-Met Value-Pack Booth is a very affordable filtered air enclosure that is well lit and designed to fit in very close shop areas. The booth is a crossdraft design that intakes fresh air through filters in the product entry doors. The clean, filtered air is then drawn across the length of the booth and exhausted through filters at the back.

Bright full booth illumination is provided by nine 48” four-tube, 32-watt fluorescent light fixtures. The lights are mounted in the side walls and ceiling panels behind clear tempered safety glass and sealed with a gasket. All fixtures are UL listed and approved for their intended use and placement. The light tubes are not furnished with the fixtures.

Installation is easy. The booth is a series of panels with external pre-punched flanges that are bolted together and specifically designed to enable the end user to add or subtract a 2′-6" panel, one section at a time. Product and personnel door hinges are welded in place to their adjacent doors and panels. All hardware, filters and sealants needed are included. Complete, step-by-step installation instructions are furnished with each spray booth unit.

EZ Limited Finishing Prep Station

A Col-Met EZ Limited Finishing Prep Station takes fresh air from the cleaner upper levels of your shop using a pressurization fan, and a ceiling filter bank located near the entry forces that air downward. A filtered exhaust plenum at the opposite end draws the air through the prep station and then an exhaust fan and stack discharge it into the atmosphere. Col-Met’s EZ Limited Finishing Prep Station is easily installed, operated, maintained, and equipped with heat by adding a heated air makeup unit.

The Col-Met EZ Limited Finishing Prep Station draws fresh air from the cleaner upper levels of the shop through a pressurization fan. This air is forced down into the prep station through a filter bank located in the ceiling near the entry. The air is drawn through the prep station work area into a filtered exhaust plenum at the opposite end and exhausted out to the atmosphere through the exhaust fan and stack. This design allows for easy addition of a heated air makeup unit.

Bright full booth illumination is provided by eight (8) four-tube, 48" long, 32-watt, fluorescent light fixtures in the ceiling panels. Each is sealed behind clear tempered safety glass. All fixtures are UL listed and approved for their intended use and placement. The light tubes are not furnished with the fixtures.

The Hanging Intake Plenum and Exhaust Plenum Wall will be fabricated with 18-gauge galvanized steel panels; flanged for strength and pre-punched for easy nut and bolt assembly. The intake plenum may be suspended with a maximum of 10′ tall clearance or as low as 7′ tall clearance. The actual installed height is required to order the Goff’s™ Curtain walls. Intake air is supplied by one (1) 18" diameter tubeaxial fan with a 11/2 HP, three-phase motor. Exhaust is provided by one (1) 18" diameter tubeaxial fan with a 11/2 HP, three-phase motor. Panels, assembly hardware, filters, and sealants needed for mechanical installation are included. The threaded rod for suspending the intake plenum is not supplied by Col-Met. Goff’s™ Curtain walls, intake and exhaust stack, control panel, and other
electrical components may be purchased separately. Col-Met Spray Booths’ EZ Limited Finishing Prep Station complies with NFPA 33 regulations pertaining to limited finishing workstations. Optional listing is available on this product.

Industrial Batch Powder Paint Booths

Each of Col-Met’s Industrial Batch Powder Paint Booths draws in shop air through its open front and passes it through the booth’s work area into an exhaust plenum where it is treated by three stages of filtration and then recirculated no air makeup needed.

Industrial Batch Powder Paint Booths

These floor model booths make efficient use of shop space and are designed for batch powder coating with no provisions for powder reclamation. Air is drawn in through the open front of the spray booth, passes through the booth’s working area into the filtered exhaust plenum. The air is filtered in three stages and discharged back into the room. One set of filters will be provided with each booth.

• 1st stage – blanket style filter
• 2nd stage – bag style filter
• 3rd (final) stage – cartridge style filter

Bright full booth illumination is provided by four-tube, Class I, Division II, 48" long, 32-watt fluorescent light fixtures placed in the ceiling panels. All fixtures are UL listed and approved for their intended use and placement. The light tubes are not included with the fixtures.

All booth and plenum sections are fabricated from18-gauge prime galvanized steel. Structural steel is used to add strength and rigidity to booths as necessary. All panels and support members are precision punched on 6" center for easy nut-and-bolt assembly. Panel flanges are connected externally to provide smooth internal surfaces. All hardware, installation instructions and sealants needed for the booth installation are included. The control panel and other electrical components may be purchased separately.
