USB Direct Printing, Infrared and Bluetooth

This feature allows the many USB Direct Print-enabled digital cameras to print directly to the printer without requiring a computer. For enhanced device-to-printer connectivity, it has built-in infrared capabilities. This gives users the ability to print directly from infrared-compliant devices, such as certain mobile phones, and with the printer’s 2.5-inch Photo Fine LCD, greater PC-Free printing versatility. This printer is also supported for image transfers using Bluetooth wireless technology. The optional adapter uses bluetooth wireless technology to enable compatible digital cameras and mobile phones to download photos directly to the printer without the need for cables.

Epson RX650 Stydots and Other

Variable Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT)

The other development in inkjet printing from Epson helps increasing the quality of your prints. VSDT incorporates: ultramicrodots and different sized droplets. Ultramicrodots are incredibly small ink droplets, between three and six picolitres in size. Ultramicrodots result in prints with much finer detail, less graininess and smoother gradations. The print quality is considerably enhanced. (Note: 1 picolitre (pl) = 0.000 000 000 001 litre).

An increase in the number of dots per print can result in a slower print speed. To counter this effect (due to the use of Ultramicrodots). Epson have introduced Variable-sized Droplet functionality. Under the control of the Epson Photo Enhance printer driver, different droplet sizes are produced on demand - choosing the appropriate size for the area of image being printed. Up to six different droplet sizes can be produced on demand.

Epson genuine ink and media combine to produce beautiful and brilliant prints with high resistance to light, ozone gas and water. With an advanced six colour (Cyan, Light Cyan, Magenta, Light Magenta, Yellow and Black) dye-based ink system, the Stylus Photo RX650 delivers prints that are beautiful and true-to-life.

Copy CD Design/Photo

Stylus Photo RX650 delivers easy, high quality direct-to-surface printing on compatible inkjet- printable 8cm and 12cm CD/DVDs. In fact, it even supports direct scanning and printing of a CD design to the surface of a CD/DVD placed in the printing guide.

5760×1440 Optimized DPI Using RPM Technology

With a minimum ink droplet size of just 1.5pl, the Stylus Photo RX650 delivers an outstanding resolution of 5760 x 1440 Optimized DPI using Resolution Performance Management (RPM) Technology. Epson MicroPiezo™ Technology

With the development of MicroPiezo technology Epson has taken a giant step forward in inkjet printing. MicroPiezo technology offers key features: faster ink ejection and smaller - accurately formed ink droplets. Scanning to Memory Card
